1. What are First Flips Fees?
All fees are due in full prior to the start of the first class. All members must also pay an annual Registration / Insurance Fee of $40.00. This fee covers all family members for a 12-month period. Class fees are listed in the “Schedule of Classes” brochure. Families with two or more children enrolled will receive subsequent discounts in 10% increments with the exception of “Mommy & Me” and “Koalas”. There are absolutely no refunds of any fees. 2. What is the dress code?
Our dress code is in place to reduce the risk of injury due to improper or loose clothing. All girls age 4 & up must wear a leotard at all times. Long hair must be neatly tied up in a ponytail. Boys can wear gym shorts and a T-shirt. Any child not in proper attire may not participate.
3. What is the arrival procedure?
All children attending class must check in at the front desk upon arrival. All shoes and clothing must be placed in a “cubby” and then wait in the observation area. As soon as the instructor is ready to begin class, he/she will come to the door and escort the children into the gym. No one may proceed into the gym unless accompanied by an instructor. Anyone not participating may not go into the gym. Siblings, friends & family can watch in the Observation Area.
4. Can I watch my kids’ participating in Class?
An Observation Area is available for family & friends at all times. However, we do ask that no one yell into the gym since it may distract the class. An adult must accompany all children in the Observation Area or Lobby AT ALL TIMES and NO child may be left at the facility that is not enrolled in a class or without adult supervision.
5. What is the policy on make-up classes?
The purpose of this policy is to give students who are unable to attend their regularly scheduled class the opportunity to attend a similar class. If your child cannot attend his/her regularly scheduled class, please call and let us know. All make-ups must be scheduled in advance with our office personnel. We will gladly give you a make-up however; they should be used within the currently enrolled month. If you are unable to attend a similar class for a make up, an Open Gym can be attended for free and once again, this should be communicated with the front desk personnel. Alternative make-ups will be granted only under special circumstances.
6. Can my fees be pro-rated?
Pro-Rates apply to those customers who join in between session enrollment dates. Special circumstance pro-rates will only be granted for holiday closing or in the event of “advance notice absence” at the time of monthly enrollment. I.E.-At the time of registration you know you’re child will miss a specific date and a make up session is not possible, you would be charged only for your available weeks.
7. What is the policy for inclement weather?
We will use the Solon School District system as a guide. If the school system is closed we will make a decision on a day-by-day basis. Please call our office as we will leave a detailed message on the answering machine informing you of our plans. You can also verify our status online at www. FirstFlips.com. All missed classes will be made up at a later time. We do NOT automatically close when Solon Schools are closed so please be aware of our operating dates.
8. If I think there is a problem, what should I do?
Please feel free to bring to our attention any questions, comments or concerns you may have. All we ask is that you allow us to respond as best as we know how. Too often we observe our children, process it with our adult minds and decide the child must be bored or troubled, when nothing could be further from the truth. Please let our teachers teach the class. You have entrusted us with your most precious possession, so please trust that we know what we are doing. On the other hand, we need to know if something is wrong in order to fix it. If you see something you do not like, please bring it to our attention. Also, we like to hear when we are performing to your satisfaction. It is only through your feedback that we can continue to meet your needs and improve.
9. Does First Flips have a referral program?
Any customer that refers another who then registers for at least one full session of classes will receive a $20 credit to their account per referral. This credit will be applied to your next session of classes and may not be used for existing or outstanding fees. The number of referrals is limited to the amount that equals class fees for a full session. This means that you can refer as many students that would award you a free session. 10. Can I bring my pet to First Flips?
Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES are any pets of any kind allowed in the facility at any time. This includes, but is not limited to cats, dogs, ferrets, snakes, fish, etc.
